This recipe for salmon with aromatic herbs is fresh and easy to prepare. A dish that combines the flavours of spices, fish and onions, a mixture that’s as delicious as it is unusual.
It can be served as a second course with buttered toast or bread rolls, or you can try making individual portions and serving them as a starter.
- Smoked salmon, 200 gr
- Onion, 1
- Lettuce (or another salad leaf of your choice), 100 gr
- Saffron, as required
- Oregano (or wild fennel) as required
- Salt, as required
- Pepper, as required
- Extra-virgin olive oil
- Balsamic vinegar
Wash the salad leaves and cut them into strips.
Place the slices of smoked salmon on a plate and season them with pepper, a drizzle of oil and chopped oregano.
Slice the onion and sauté it slowly in the oil, add a little bit of saffron in order to give it a golden colour. Season with salt.
Place the onion in the centre of the plate and arrange the salad all around it, season with oil, salt and pepper. Drizzle a few drops of balsamic vinegar on the salmon and buon appetito!
