Sweet Basil plant turning brown

I purchased a beautiful Sweet Basil plant over the summer and it has done wonderfully until I had to bring it in the house due to the cold weather, the stems are turning brown, leaves are wilting and the young shoots are all dying. Can anyone tell what I am doing wrong or what I need to do to save this plant? THanks

the difference of the temperature between in side and out side can cause a dehydration of the plant, above all if you put the basil on the windowsill with a radiator below it.

cut away the flowers and the top of the branches, water it and ....keep your fingers crossed....
