I am having problems with my lettuces, start to grown then disappear. Any ideas please?

Eaten by snails probably, best to put some pellets down to deter them,  Good luck.

yup, snails and slugs are the prime suspects. they come in at night. you could try and build a beer trap - there'll be tutorials on the web. it's really easy but for some reason we do it only occasionally, and often regret. I've lost all my chamomile seedlings to slugs this year, and a few freshly-sprouted chilis.

yes, i agree, snails are real bad this yr, due to the heavy rain.

the beer trap is good, otherwise if u make coffee use the discarded used powder on the ground next to the plant, but make sure its dry before using it. usually the snails come out in the early evening-night as dulcamara said.

easy and ecological.

you may have a rabbit problem , try fencing the area so the critters are kept out,
